The theoretical basis for describing and detecting the deficiency of the existing business processes in the design of the LCC woodwork handcrafts is set out in the paper, and the present AS-IS business process model is presented as a practical example and a proposal for potential improvements. The theoretical framework is related to analysis and business processes modeling, which are at present a key factor in organizational performance. By right business processes coordinating the organization is brought to the point of increasing profit or reducing costs. LCC woodwork is a collective that deals with the recycling of broken skateboards into new, functional products. Broken skateboard deck as a raw material is waste, and its colorful layers provide a variety of processing options. Development in the direction of handmade culture and sustainability through recycling are the main goals for which the LCC Collective has started working in the unknown industry for the Republic of Croatia. The identified shortcomings in the business process are related to financial lacks that are directly related to low marketing efforts, lower efficiency due to poor quality tools, insufficient technical knowledge and a very long product making period. Potential improvements relate to shorter product making periods by obtaining better and more reliable tools, stronger marketing, creating a web site to which customers would refer, and finally registering activities in some legal form. The process of ordering, manufacturing and delivering of the product (ashtray) is described in detail and presented in the ARIS Express interface through the EPC and BPMN diagrams in the current and future phase, where the improvements mentioned significantly shortened the entire business process.
