People management is one of the important role of a leader. However, except in the business world, manipulation can be recognized in all daily life situations, and its knowledge and recognition provides various opportunities of personal development, such as building relationships, different business promotions, a better sense of self and others, a better understanding of the environment and the reaction of the people and so on. This study included more than fifty manipulation techniques and some of the rules and psychological phenomena that can be identified in human relations. This paper deals with the techniques of manipulation in the purpose of showing theoretical principles in people management. Some examples of the use of mentioned techniques are shown, which can be transformed in different life situations. The use of a one technique does not exclude the possibility of using other techniques at the same time, which mostly depends on the resourcefulness and skill of the person using them. Except for personal application of techniques in private lives, the theory of manipulation is necessary to know for the purpose of recognition of manipulative techniques used by other people, so that person knows how to react properly and protect themselves from the effects of manipulation.
