Volunteering is a socially responsible and voluntary behavior of an individual, with an increasing role in development of the community and society in whole. This paper focuses on exploring the need to encourage development of volunteering during formal education with an emphasis on building skills and abilities that are important in future career choices. In this paper studies made by author aiming at understanding and explaining volunteering are described, or its motives, encouragements and attitudes of young age groups toward volunteering. The analyses of the selected case study in the volunteering field and creative economics (Creative Treasury 2015 - 2019), the characteristics of culture of volunteering and creative expressions through volunteer participation are being analyzed. The quantitative research approach of the paper is based on data on volunteering at Creative Treasury (2018 - 2019). Volunteer opinions were gathered through a questionnaire (n = 122) to identify the motivations and attitudes of young age groups toward volunteering as opportunity to build and develop skills useful for future career choices. By performing univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis, the hypotheses of the work are tested and conclusions on hypotheses are made. The results of the analysis show that volunteering has significant positive effects. A high correlation exists between the development of personal and social skills or the ability to develop skills that have competitive advantage in the labor market.
