dokumenata, datoteka itd. Tehnologije na kojima počiva računalstvo u oblaku uključuje:
virtualizaciju, uslugama orijentiranu arhitekturu (SOA), grid computing i utility computing.
učinkovitost, mobilnost, dostupnost usluga, pouzdanost i brzu primjenu. Sveučilišni računski
centar (Srce) je središnja infrastrukturna ustanova cjelokupnog sustava znanosti i visokog
obrazovanja Republike Hrvatske.
infrastrukturu. U 2019. godini Srce je izvršio transformaciju CRO NGI u novu HTC Cloud
platformu za napredno računalstvo i složenu analizu podataka. Srce je 2012. godine
uspostavio privatni oblak s dvije nove usluge u oblaku Virtual Private Server (VPS) i Virtual
obrazovanje i znanost. |
Sažetak (engleski) | Cloud computing is defined as storing and accessing of data and computing services over the
internet. Data can include images, videos, audio tracks, documents, files, etc. Fundamental
cloud computing technologies include: virtualization, service-oriented architecture (SOA),
grid computing, and utility computing. Cloud computing is already widely used in education.
Cloud-based services can help universities reduce costs and accelerate the use of new
technologies to meet growing educational needs. The advantages of cloud computing include:
efficiency, mobility, availability of services, reliability and quick deployment. The University
Computing Center (Srce) is the central infrastructural institution of the entire system of
science and higher education in the Republic of Croatia. Over the last few decades, Srce has
built a number of components that have led to the development of the national infrastructure.
Srce built the Isabella computer cluster in 2002, and today Isabella is the
strongest computer cluster in Croatia, used by scientists who need intensive computing. From
2003 to 2005, Srce built the national grid infrastructure as part of the multi-institutional
project CRO-GRID. In 2019, Srce transformed CRO NGI into a new HTC Cloud platform for
advanced computing and complex data analysis. In 2012, Srce established a private cloud
with two new cloud services, Virtual Private Server (VPS) and Virtual Computing Lab
(VCL), which enable the creation and use of virtual servers for the needs of institutions,
teachers and researchers from the science and higher education system of the Republic of
Croatia. Today, Srce continues to focus on systems and services that are necessary and
important for modern education and science. |
