This paper investigates the importance of ethical norms and legal frameworks in trade in Republici Hrvatskoj. Ethical norms represent a set of values and principles that regulate the moral behavior of individuals and organizations in the business environment. They are essential for maintaining the integrity of the market, protecting consumers and creating trust among all participants in the trade. The paper will explain the concept of ethics and its importance in trade. Ethical business strives to achieve fairness, transparency and responsibility in all aspects of business. It analyzes how ethics affect decisions and behavior in the business world, and how the lack of ethical norms can lead to negative consequences, including loss of customer trust and a negative company reputation. The relevant laws, regulations and regulations that protect the interests of consumers, promote fair market competition and ensure the safety of products and services are listed. Examples from practice are used to illustrate the positive effects of the application of legal frameworks, socially responsible business, but also the challenges faced by traders in complying with these regulations. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the application of ethical norms in practice, and the understanding of key legal regulations. The aim of the paper is to provide insight into the current state of ethical standards and legal regulations related to trade in the Republic of Croatia. The materials used in the work are secondary data sources (books, scientific works and articles) and relevant laws of trade in the Republic of Croatia. The methods used in writing the paper are the inductive-deductive method and the method of description.
