One of the consequences of globalization and globalization processes that have spread all over the world in the last two decades is the creation of an international market that offers all parties numerous opportunities for business development and expansion beyond the borders of the home market. It is precisely because of the many advantages that the international market offers to its participants that more and more companies are choosing to enter foreign markets. Strategic business options available to entrepreneurs entering foreign markets include direct export, turnkey projects, licensing, franchising, strategic joint ventures, and foreign direct investment. Each strategy has advantages and disadvantages, and companies need to know these in order to decide on the right strategy when entering a foreign market.
