The purpose of the final paper is to research employee management techniques. Only secondary sources such as professional literature, books and internet sources were used for the work. The research established that high productivity is achieved through employee satisfaction and continuous work on employees. Employee satisfaction is significantly influenced by the working atmosphere, the leader's approach, added values and opportunities for advancement within the organization, and it is in the managers' interest to provide all of the above factors in order to have a good retention rate, considering that people are one big organizational investment. It has been shown that employees respond best to a leader who has a transparent and tolerant approach, who directs people towards the goal, creates a pleasant working atmosphere and is driven by great ambitions. A successful leader should have good analytical, strategic and communication skills, but should also be innovative. The debate raises the question of an individual or standardized approach, and judging by the psychology of human motivation, it can be concluded that not every individual reacts in the same way. In conclusion, managers and the human resources department will encounter numerous trends and challenges that they need to approach proactively if they want the previous organizational productivity to be accompanied by the same, or better, retention rate.
