A trend that is relatively new in many areas throughout the world is globalization. This thesis deals with the concept of globalization and its impact on the Croatian economy. An integral and very important part of the work is the meaning of the concept of globalization, dimensions and causes of globalization, but also the positive and negative effects. Globalization has an impact on the economy as shown by a number of countries in the world which has an impact on the Croatian economy is under special scrutiny in this paper. Starting rank processes of globalization are the countries in the world that in the developed and the administration and the country's best exploit all the advantages of globalization. It has always been a tendency focused on creating a world that will be unique and it is a lot of support from the development of information and communication technology. With the development of information and communication technology is enabled to establish communications between multiple subjects in different parts of the world in just a few minutes. Not today almost impossible to imagine that any country acting alone, or in addition to the economic policies implemented by the countries in the world can not be just a spectator on the side to see the effects of globalization on production, exports and imports, labor mobility and more. It is clear that the process of globalization does not act with the same intensity to all countries in the world, but no one can say that the process of globalization, at least in some measure does not affect all countries.
