This final paper deals with business communication and public relations. The first part of the paper explains the business communication itself, what communication is at all and its purpose in interpersonal relationships. Communication competence, its language function and meaning, and its core components are also addressed. It also talks about the categories of business communication within and outside the organization and mentions personal communication as an important part of communication between employees. It mentions the types of communication networks that exist within the organization and compares the relationship between the organizational structure and business communication within it. The paper also speaks about the forms of business communication and how it appears in the company. In the second part of the paper, public relations is explained as part of business communication with stakeholders. Here is an explanation of the concept and definition of the public relations between the public and the organizations, associations and different societies. It talks about history and the development of public relations, both in America and in Europe and the Republic of Croatia. Relevant theories and models used and applied for a better understanding of public relations are analyzed. The paper also talks about day-to-day operations, the functions of public relations that apply in establishing relationships with stakeholders. At the very end, work on the profession of public relations, the role of women in the profession and the field of public relations are analyzed.
