Entrepreneurial mindset represents a certain way of thinking that is significant for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial individuals. This way of thinking is very important in the spheres of private life and especially in the business world. By the very act of making decision to become an entrepreneur, individual starts an entrepreneurial process that consist of several stages. Entrepreneurs have an important role in new value creation, market development and in the community in general. Therefore, it is necessary to determine what influences their motivation and what is their driving force. There are several traits that are considered to be characteristically for successful entrepreneurs but they also can be found in common individuals. Some of these traits are innovation, which is important for the company, but also for the market of individual products to develop. Besides, for success in private and business life, motivation is important and it is the driving force, for both, the individual and the entire organization. Except for innovation and motivation, the success of the entrepreneur is also influenced by his ability to take risks but also to be responsible, self-aware with internal locus of control and a need for achievement. In addition to the mentioned characteristics, entrepreneurial decision-making process is also influenced by the emotions of the individual, which positively or negatively affect his mood. The aim of this paper is to apply the theoretical framework of entrepreneurial mindset on the case study of entrepreneurial characteristics of the family farm owner Dalibor Jandrečić as well as his decision making process. The research was conducted using the method of semi-structured interview.
