The world of technology is growing day by day and it is providing various opportunities in different categories. Traditional types of media, such as newspapers and radio, have been replaced by new versions through digital media. New media has changed user’s daily routines and their ease of use allows them to adapt to a fast lifestyle. The discovery of the internet made possible to broadcast digital media. A habit has been developed by users when it comes to using the internet. Customers understand that they are connected with the rest of the world through Internet. Digital devices use multimedia for communication. There are several ways of displaying data when conducting multimedia. By combining elements of text, graphics, sound, animation and video, the displayed content captures the user's attention. Many new technological devices on the market use different types of media. Wearable technology is one of them. This type of advanced technology uses multimedia to transmit information. There are many products that are and can be in this type of category. Despite the widespread of technology this type has not been recognized so much. Because of this reason the paper deals with the topic about using and recognizing multimedia and wearable technology between students of the University of Osijek. Through explaining the various definitions related to the field of multimedia and wearable technology an attempt is made to approximate the said technological area. For the purpose of writing the paper, a primary study was also conducted. The results show how much technology influences the daily life of the respondents.
