Packaging and Labeling for Logistics" is the topic of the final paper. Packaging is a very important function that affects the price of a product, but it can also facilitate transportation, storage and sales. This paper explains the packaging function, packaging types, logistic units, packaging requirements, packaging management and GS I standards. The packaging process must meet certain requirements depending on the type of product that is being packaged. The packaging process is greatly facilitated by palletization. Palletization refers to the system of manipulation and transportation of goods on appropriate stands - pallets. Furthermore, the concept of stacking and packaging of palletizing cargo is explained in the paper. Packaging of palletizing cargo means the lining of cargo on the pallet with appropriate polyethylene foil that protects against external effects. Another important packaging factors are the GS I standards, which enable effective management of suppliers' chains by uniquely identifying products, shipping units, locations of assets and services. The GS1 system facilitates e-commerce processes, including complete tracking of shipping. Of great importance are standards for representing data (barcodes) that allow electronic readings on the selling place, at reception in warehouses or at any other place that requires barcode reading. Equally important is the electronic exchange of information that enables companies better control of production, purchase and delivery.
