The production function is a physical relationship between output and input, which depends on the amount of services and products, ie output, and the amount of resources used in production, that is, inputs. The task of the production function is to create the planned quantities of products from the production program that have the required quality, satisfactory cost price and are produced within the planned time. This task is considered to be successfully completed if the production process eventually yields to the manufacturing organization. A production function can take three commonforms, namely: linear, digressive and progressive. The difference in production functions may depend on the technology used. Improving technology increases the maximum product that can be obtained from any combination of resources and therefore results in a new production mfunction. As there sources change, so does the production function. Anisoquantummap illustrates a production function with two variablere sources for all possible quantities of products that an organization would produce, while an isoquantum chart provides information on the prices of there sources ntended to beused. The process of determining the optimal combination of resources usually consists of constructing a table or graphical representation of an isoquant andaniso tropic line. The lowest cost production requires that the additional product from each kuna spent on labor must beequal to the additional product from the last kuna spent on capital.
