The budget can be defined as a systematic review of a country's planned revenues and expenditures over time. The budget in each country is the main fiscal instrument. Since the municipality of Odžak is one of the northernmost municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, first of all in this final paper I worked on the topic of the budget at the state level, then the general information of that state. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a single dual-entity state, so each entity has its own unique budget, but the state-level budget is called the “Budget of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The general information about the state mentioned in this final paper is mainly of political, territorial, but also administrative character. Furthermore, the entity in which the municipality of Odžak is located is the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since the topic of the budget extends throughout the final work, the budget is also described, revenues and expenditures of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Finally, we come to the topic of this paper which refers to the budget of the municipality of Odžak. First of all, some general information from the municipality of Odžak are described, and then comes its budget, and the main parts of the budget that are presented, budget revenues and expenditures. In the very conclusion of this final paper, I briefly commented on the current state of the municipality, and added my view of the future of this municipality.
