The purpose of this paper is to examine the management structure of Vinkoprom d.o.o. by sex, age and education level, as well as to find out which tasks they must perform as part of their job and which areas are they responsible for. In addition, this paper examines the relationship between managers of Vinkoprom d.o.o. with their subordinates and superiors and also their work experience. Tasks, functions and levels of management as well as managerial knowledge and skills are listed and described in the theoretical part of this paper. There are also listed responsibilities of management in the main processes in a trading company. These processes include customer relations, sales and marketing, logistics, procurement, financing, controlling, human resources, information system and organization. The research was conducted with a survey questionnaire which was filled in by the total of 6 respondents who are employed as managers in the company Vinkoprom d.o.o. The core business of Vinkoprom d.o.o. is non-specialized wholesale trade and with its about 250 employees it is a medium-sized company. The research found that the majority of respondents are low-level managers and that the remaining respondents are middle-level managers and auxiliary units managers. Most of the respondents are between 35 and 45 years old and almost every respondent has previous work experience with other jobs in the company Vinkoprom d.o.o. The analysis of collected data showed that the highest level of education for most respondents is high school education. It was also found that respondents equally try to have a good relationship with their subordinates and with their superiors and that they are equally inclined to seek advice regarding their work from their subordinates and from their superiors.
