Supply chain management is the process of planning, coordinating, and controlling the flow of goods, services, and information from the source to the end customer. The supply chain consists of several stages that occur from the beginning to the end of the supply process, including procurement, production, storage, distribution, sales, marketing, and feedback. Nowadays, the concept of a sustainable supply chain is increasingly adding the attribute "green." A green supply chain incorporates sustainable ecological processes integrated into conventional supply chains, from production through operations to end-of-life management, including the principles of 4R1D (reduce, reuse, recycle, recover, and dispose). The paper industry plays a crucial role in packaging production. Packaging paper and cardboard are used to make boxes, wraps, labels, and other packaging materials that protect products during transportation and storage. Some of the challenges in the supply chain in the paper industry include raw material procurement, maintaining quality, logistics and transportation, sustainability and environmental protection, supply chain complexity, and more. Despite these challenges, the paper industry continues to have a significant role in many sectors and finds new ways to grow and adapt to emerging market trends and demands. Through a case study of a sustainable packaging and paper manufacturer, factors necessary for achieving sustainable business practices within the company, as well as with upstream and downstream supply chain participants in the industry, will be analyzed. The aim is to provide recommendations for potential improvements and draw conclusions based on best practice examples that can help companies implement sustainable solutions in their operations.
